From the end of March to the first days of April we traveled from Barcelona to Madrid to Linares and back to Barcelona. That's just over 1000 miles of roads. It was an amazing trip because we saw many people who wants to learn more about what is a true leader is. We had the privilege to be traveling with Sergio, Maicon and Ken Lassiter. Ken was the keynote speaker and God really used him to touch the lives of many.
Wait! what! where did the summer go!????
Yes, those days (picture above) are long gone now and it's back to school! When you have kids it's only them that they go back to school but parents do too, right? because from the moment they get up from bed until they go back to sleep we are, in many ways, thinking about their school. Esteban and Gracia are exited to start their new school year (believe it or not)
2013 Missionary Staff and co-workers. It was a privilege to serve along side these great men and women of God.

Entering our apartment building for the first time!
Acknowledge him in all thy ways and he shall straight your path! Let me tell you something, it is so much better and fun to recognize God in every decision we make in our life! We are very imperfect people and taking advantage of this promise makes our lives much easier to live. When we let God be first in our lives then it’s better to live and understand life by faith.
On April 23, 2013 Lena, Esteban Gracia and I arrived to Barcelona Terminal 1. The reaction of the four of us was the same, clenched fist and arms up in the air! We walked out of the airplane with big smiles and breathing in the new air like if we had just won the World Cup for a moment we forgot that we had been up since 2 am.
A moment that it will be hard to forget was the one when the plane touched down on the runway and as we taxied in Esteban grabbed our hand and said “let’s pray”, we held hands together and Esteban prayed and thanked the Lord for his protection and care on the trip and asked the Lord to give us strength to be good witnesses to the people. A prayer from a 9 year old.
As we walked through the arrival doors Sergio and Nancy Martinez were waiting for us, at that moment many thoughts came through my mind but one was repeating again and again and it was a ‘thank you Lord’ So many things to thank the Lord for, so many miracles that He worked out. Many people around the world have been praying for that moment and you were part of it.
After fitting all 4 suitcases and the 6 of us in the car we drove to Sant Celoni our final destination. As we entered our new home we saw a beautiful arrangement from our new local Church in Sant Celoni, the ladies had cleaned the apartment and left a welcome note. It was beautiful. We are thankful to the Lord for our new Church family in Sant Celoni, Barcelona.

We are thankful to the Lord for this special moment that we are living, on April 23 we arrived to Barcelona and it was a very special day!

Honestly it's hard to find words to describe how was my first week in Spain. Usually you'll use the adjectives "great", "wonderful", "incredible" "amazing", "awesome"....and so on. I really can't decide if those words will fit to describe the week. Maybe I can say it was 'eye opening" and "assurance that we are on the right path and the Lord is blessing our decision".... there.
The first week in Spain was intense in every aspect; went to the airport 3 times in 3 days, several trips to Barcelona, since day 2 I translated all day long from Spanish-English-Spanish, we had Ken Lassiter from First Baptist Church in Woodstock, GA and two more Americans; Seth Kitchen who is a future missionary with WOL Spain and Jonathan Carte my brand new friend! during the week we had 3 meetings with different pastors and missionaries from other mission boards and a leader of the Brethren Church of Spain and several other very high leadership position even representing the Christian Churches in front of the government. So from Tuesday to Friday it was like one long day. Of course always food and coffee in between, I think I've never eaten so much and well in my life :) The purpose of the meetings were to get to know more the situation of the church in Spain and to see how we can help each other more.
On Saturday we had the main even of the week that was a School of Leadership for pastors and leaders, we had 77 people that attended the event, from Madrid (center of Spain) Galicia (North West of Spain) Basque Country (North of Spain) and city of Barcelona and Barcelona area. In short, every one was super exited, the Word of God was challenging and compelling and everyone was blessed. This opens doors to the ministry that we can't even start to imagine.
On Thursday we had a meeting in a church with a pastor and we were asking about some statistics of how many Christians were in his area, well, we were shocked to learn that in his county there are 425,000 people and only 400 believers live and go to church in the whole region and only 40 young people attend church.
Needless to say that they are shouting for help.
God also gave me the privilege to say farewell to the first Catalan student to the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina.
We praise the Lord for what He is doing in Spain. Please pray for us!
Thank you for being part of this, God is using you also to be a blessing in Spain.
This is going to be an exiting week at Word if Life Spain!.......more to come!
Dear Friend and Prayer Partner!
Waiting upon the Lord-Never forget His works!
When we are in need or waiting for answers from the Lord, we tend to forget all the things that God has already done and provided in the past, and on time!
With that said, we've been waiting to get our visas for Spain for almost 2 months now, twice as long as expected and so many plans have fallen apart for that reason! But you know what? that doesn't mean the end of the world, we are happy to see how God is working in Spain, in Ukraine and in our lives.
Our hearts and minds are in peace waiting for God's perfect time to come. Naturally is not easy, but we have Jesus on our side and many people that are praying for this situation.
Hopefully next time I'll write with better news!
The plan when we get the visas is to purchase the plane tickets for Spain withing a week or 10 days,
to give time to find a place to live in Spain, fortunately there are many apartments for rent in the area were we are going.
So please pray that we'll get a good deal for the plane tickets for Spain.
Also please pray for the right apartment in Sant Celoni to rent. Pray for our future neighbors also!
We are praying for you! please share with us how we can pray for you!
